Each day begins with inspirational meditations and yoga sessions that invigorate the body and center the mind, followed by workshops on yoga philosophy that deepen your understanding and practice. Afternoons are spent exploring creative expression through art, nature walks, and journaling, fostering a deep connection with your inner self and the natural world. Evenings feature restorative yoga and relaxation sessions that promote healing and balance, culminating in serene moments of reflection. Participants arrive between 3 & 6 pm on Sunday (April 22nd) and retreat activities are scheduled the following day from 8:30 am until 6:00 each day with optional evening activities.
Fee: $1,495.00
The retreat fee includes all activities, healthy meals, materials, and special gifts.
Affordable lodging is available for those wishing to stay on-site.

Daily yoga classes, including restorative, nature yoga, and mindful practices, along with the opportunity for trying Aerial Yoga and other practices with a flexible schedule. We also introduce sound healing meditation, mindfulness meditation, journaling, and more to reflect on our lives and invite new patterns and mindsets to help balance our needs and our responsibilities. We learn about yoga philosophy, and practices, and how yoga can enhance our lives.
All vegetarian, healthy meals are included in the retreat, as well as a tea and some wonderful nurturing snacks at the ready. We will take good care of you.
You will be engaging in some fun mindful activities in our art room and more, so participants will be given supplies, as well as some yoga gifts and a beautiful journal. We also will be making hand-tied malas to take home, all supplies included.
Massage, body work, and reiki treatments are available by appointment through the office.
3:00-6:00 on Arrival Day - Arrive at Heartwood Yoga Institute, nestled in a serene natural setting. Guests are welcomed with a warm reception, a tour of the facility, and settling into comfortable accommodations.
Introduction to the retreat schedule, group meet-and-greet, and an opening ceremony with guided meditation to set intentions for the week.
Gentle restorative yoga session. Time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Morning: An inspirational yoga session to invigorate the body and mind.
Workshop on yoga philosophy, focusing on the principles of mindfulness and self-awareness.
Afternoon: A nutritious lunch is served, featuring locally sourced ingredients.
Evening: Yin yoga session to balance energy, followed by a discussion on the importance of breathwork. Dinner and free time to reflect or explore the grounds.
Morning: Early morning Pranayama (breathing exercises) and a Hatha yoga class to enhance flexibility and strength.
Yoga Philosophy discussion and sharing.
Afternoon: Guided nature walk and journaling session to connect with inner thoughts and the natural environment. Lunch followed by a mandala workshop.
Evening: Sunset yoga practice focusing on balance and harmony, followed by a healthy dinner and an optional evening meditation session.
Morning: A yoga session to energize along with philosophy discussions.
Afternoon: Mala making workshop, and introduction to Japa mala meditation. Lunch is served, followed by a chakra and energy body workshop.
Evening: Restorative yoga session aimed at deep relaxation and healing. Dinner and time for personal reflection or group sharing.
Morning: Morning meditation and yoga class to awaken spiritual energy and philosophy discussion.
Afternoon: Chakra Workshop and activities.
Evening: Dinner - Yin yoga and silence prep.
A full day of silence, meditation, connection and beautiful restorative practices.
Evening: Dinner and a candlelit labyrinth walk and fire ceremony.
Morning: Final meditation and a mixed-style yoga class to encompass the learnings of the retreat. Philosophy and sharing circle.

Throughout the retreat, participants enjoy organic, vegetarian meals, and ample free time to explore the beautiful Heartwood grounds. The retreat is designed to foster deep transformation, healing, and a profound connection with oneself and the surrounding nature.

Not everyone stays on site, so you are welcome to come to join us each day if you live nearby or have accommodations elsewhere. The retreat fee does not include accommodation unless you book space in our dorm lodging, and you won't miss anything important by sleeping off-site. Those who wish to stay with us can make arrangements to book our lovely facilities for a very low, affordable fee which is especially great for those who need to leave their world behind for personal R & R.
No worries if you are new to yoga or have physical limitations. We will be doing yoga, but our instructors are well versed in modifications and help those who are new to the practice. This is a retreat to introduce the deeper elements of yoga in an authentic way, and so the practices are nurturing, restorative and gentle with respect to and developing self-awareness and exploring the theme of the retreat. Our goal is to educate while nurturing the spirit.
