Whether you have abundant yoga experience or are new to the practice we welcome you to Heartwood. All instructors at Heartwood are experienced (ERYT-500 advanced teachers) with comprehensive training in yoga therapy and healing modalities to provide you with the best yoga experience possible.
Heartwood provides an authentic yoga experience where each class includes concepts that can be taken off the mat and into your life to support mind, body and spirit enhancement. Unlike a studio or a gym, Heartwood is a yoga educational facility designed to provide a deeper experience where reflection, personal connection and honoring our path are a part of your yoga studies. Our facility as well as the focus of our classes, is designed to encourage inner calm reflection and deep connections.
If you are new to yoga, you can safely participate in any class we offer, so no worries. Just pick a class and get started. The Heartwood staff is qualified to provide a positive first yoga experience to all levels, ages, and degrees of experience. At this time, (due to corona virus issues) we are limiting class sizes to 12, and most of our classes are taking place in the outdoor pavilion for fresh air flow while still enjoying a beautiful, peaceful, yogic environment.

Heartwood offers two traditional yoga classes a week, appropriate for all levels. Due to covid concerns, these classes are currently taught in our fresh air pavilion to assure safety and space for all to social distance, yet still enjoy a dynamic yoga experience. In cases where the weather is less than inviting we sometimes choose to close the windows and use the air conditionion for comfort sill promoting a beautiful natural space with healthy airflow situated by the labyrinth. Students need not wear masks during class, but we do ask them to wear masks when in the office or using the bathroom, as these are more confined spaces. Heartwood follows careful cleaning procedures. We do have mats students can borrow, but it is advisable to bring your own mat if possible.
Students can pay a drop in rate of $18.00 per class, or purchase a 5 class pack for $70.00.
At this time, our open classes are Saturdays and Tuesdays from 10:00-11:15am. All other classes offered are in 5 week sessions (listed below).

This 5 Week series offers a gentle and nurturing yoga practice including
asanas, pranayama techniques, & mudras that coincide with each of the Universes 5 elements- Earth, air, fire, water and space. Practicing yoga with the theme of the elements help students explore the power and inspiration of natural energies in and outside of the body. Essential oils will be used to enhance the mindful yoga experience.

This session restores the mind and body with Alternate weeks of Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. These Calming practices help to reduce anxiety and stress leading to better sleep, more energy and healthier outlook on daily life.

April 5-May 3
This 5 week class series offers and truly delicious restorative yoga experience that includes postures supported by props designed to calm the nervous system. The practice is enhanced with readings, essential oils and meditations.
May 3 - June 7

Join us for 5 weeks of energetic body discovery. Each week the class will focus on stimulating and balancing one or more Chakras. Sessions will include Gentle yoga postures, Meditation & Pranayama. Instructor will include takeaways to incorporate the healing practice during the week. Final week will include a full body Chakra healing class.
May 7-June 4
With Kim (Engles) Hoenie
The 5 week series will explore YIN yoga in a gentle way as a balancing practice focusing on joint and connective tissue health as well as the benefits to the energetic body. Each week will have a new theme and body focus dedicated to feeling balanced overall by the fifth week. The course is taught using props and support making it accessible to any student.

This course offers gentle yoga sessions combining active movement Yang postures and passive meditative Yin postures. This fusion class will strengthen both body and mind leaving one feeling balanced, calm and peaceful.
