Yoga experiences that expand beyond the one-hour class on the mat provide an opportunity to explore the deeper dimensions of yoga or mindfulness. Expand your awareness and integrate your practice through new self-awareness adventures with a workshop or retreat that will dive deeply into a subject and inspire your heart and mind. Our workshops change regularly, so check back monthly to see what we have up and coming.

Celebrate the beginning of the new year by embarking on a beautiful and meaningful experience that will help you set your intentions and align your energy for the upcoming year. We invite you to join us for a New Year's Day Fire ceremony and labyrinth walk that includes yoga, meditation, journaling, and more. This transformative workshop is carefully designed to help you release the baggage of the past and start afresh with clarity and purpose. The Fire ceremony will comprise a symbolic ritual of burning negative thoughts, feelings, and emotions that no longer serve you. You will then embark on a meditative labyrinth walk by candlelight that will help you connect with your inner self and gain insights into your desires and aspirations for the year ahead. Refreshments will be served.
The yoga session will help you stretch and rejuvenate your body while also calming your mind. Come be a part of this empowering journey and step into the new year with renewed energy and optimism.

Join us each month on the full moon for a calming energy lunar yoga class on the labyrinth (weather permitting- inside our pavilion when that atmosphere feels more inviting) along with a beautiful ceremony to celebrate the month's moon energy. The event includes a gentle yoga practice, full moon meditation, a fire ceremony, a sound bath, and smudging. Bask in the beautiful ambiance of Heartwood at night with a mindful, heartfelt welcoming of moon energy. We meet from 6 pm - 8 pm in winter months, and 7-9 pm in those months when the sun goes down later (check registration.)

Enjoy a beautiful morning on the Heartwood property exploring nature. Breathe in the fresh air, meditate while listenting to the birds and nature sounds, explore the Chakra garden. Deepen your connection to the Earth and feel the support of being connected to all living things can provide.
We'll close the morning with an art project, making a collage of items found on our exploration to take as a memory of our day.

In this 3-hour workshop, we will explore the seven main Chakras, the energy centers in the body. Through restorative yoga, meditation, gentle movement, sound therapy, aromatherapy, and yoga Nidra, each Chakra will be able to take what it needs to cleanse and heal, allowing your mind, body, and spirit to be renewed and restored.
Root Chakra: Responsible for our feelings of security and stability
Sacral Chakra: Feeds our emotions and creativity
Solar Plexus: The key to our confidence and self-esteem
Heart Chakra: Controls our ability to give and receive love and compassion
Throat Chakra: Allows us to communicate and speak our truth
Third Eye Chakra: Is responsible for our intuition, gut reaction, and internal voice
Crown Chakra: Our spiritual connection to ourself, to others, and to the universe. Our oneness with all things
Leave with a renewed sense of purpose, better able to speak your truth, having more confidence in yourself, with a more open heart and feeling a stronger connection to all things around you.
Next session begins in January 2025
Join a small collective of writers committed to learning, growing, and developing their skills in 6-week online sessions that meet through Zoom. Students submit up to 5 double-spaced pages of their work ahead of time, which are shared with the group. Everyone attends a Zoom class for a comprehensive critique session that helps each student develop their works in progress and includes lectures on the prevailing issues for the group, such as defining style, voice, writing with honesty, and character/story development. Assignments designed to fire up creativity and challenge the writers to experiment with new approaches to telling a story are provided at the end of each session as inspiration for the following week's submissions.
We meet approximately every other week to give students time to write and prepare submissions. Meetings are scheduled 10/14, 10/28, 11/4, 11/18, 12/2, 12/16. (Note: we have only one week between Oct and Nov sessions to avoid Holiday conflicts.)
Workshop fee $120.00
