Whether you have abundant yoga experience or are new to the practice we welcome you to Heartwood. If you are new to yoga, you can safely participate in any class we offer, so no worries. Just pick a class and come in. The Heartwood staff is qualified to provide a positive first yoga experience to all levels, ages, and degrees of experience. If you have not been involved in fitness is some time, any gentle or basic yoga or meditation class will provide you with a good foundation to begin. We also offer Restorative yoga, Meditation, and other moderate classes that would help get you started in a comfortable way. You can check our schedule out on the website, or download the convenient Heartwood Retreat Center app on your phone for up to date schedules and information. Of course we have many other classes to try as well, including aerial yoga, all levels flow, Nature Yoga, Yin and more once you have a basic understanding of the goals of yoga. When you arrive for your first class, a teacher will be happy to talk with you to help direct you to the classes that will best serve your interest and needs.
Private lessons are also an option for those who want a through introduction to yoga designed to their needs as a lead in experience before taking the group lessons.
You do not need to preregister for classes. You can always drop in and pay for a single class for $18.00, but if you are new to yoga (or just new to Heartwood Yoga Institute) you may wish to start by purchasing the one time only new student special.
If you are new to Heartwood, you will want to take advantage of our low introductory special. Only $29.00 gets you 5 classes to get started. This offer is designed so students can try out the school and experience the fine teachers, ambiance and general "vibe" to determine if we are a good fit for you. You have one year to use this or any prepaid classes or packages. The introductory special can be purchased at the front desk when you arrive, or you can pick one up on Groupon and go through the redeeming process when you arrive, but there is only one introductory special allowed per student in a lifetime.
